Maison Capitaine
"Maison Capitaine" is located in Rennes les Bains. The house is located next to the main road, and on the other side runs the River Salz.
The present house was built in 1963, but there has been a house on the ground for several hundred years.
We bought the house in 2001 and has renovated it so it contains both French and Danish culture.
"Maison Capitaine" is a typical modern French townhouse with three floors, with living room, kitchen and hall in the ground floor. There are two rooms on the first floor and also two rooms on the second floor. There are toilet and bath on both floors.
The house is at a total of 150 m2. It is fully equipped for 6 persons.
Facing the river, there is a terrace of 16 m2. Here are table and chairs, barbeque (gas) and the best view in the village. Late in the summer, you can reach beyond the rails picking fresh figs.
Bed linen for 6 persons and towels, dish-cloth etc are included in the price. There are duvets and pillows. Extra bed linen can be ordered.
Bath towels to use outside the house must be your own.
In the kitchen are some basic ingredients such as salt, pepper, flour, sugar, spices, oil, vinegar, etc. The idea is to fill up when something is used up and leave "remnants" for the next tenants. There is no dishwasher.
On arrival there will be purchased for a light meal. It will be ready in the fridge. This should allow for a relaxed start to the holiday.
